New Grape

New to the vineyard is the Marquette grape which is a new breed of grape just released from the University of Minnesota. It has Pinot Noir and Cabernet in its genetic background. The wine from this grape may be ready in 2009 or 2010.

Photo Contest for 2006 Migration Label
Geo Spencer Vineyard announces 2006 Migration Label winner. Bob Moss, a devoted wildlife photographer and experienced photographer of Sandhill cranes, submitted his award winning Sandhill crane photo in Sept. of 2005 for the 2006 Migration label. 2006 Migration, the second in a series of commemorating the 500,000 Sandhill Cranes that stop in Central Nebraska during their annual spring migration. It is a dry wine similar to a Pinot Grigio style wine. For every bottle of Migration 2006 sold, we will donate $1 to Rowe Sanctuary.
